Fence Jumping 101

2012

Public intervention on the campus of Portland State University

For Open Engagement Conference, Portland, OR

This was a public intervention during the 2012 Open Engagement conference in Portland, OR.  Located in the public space of the library, participants slid down bannisters, hopped over guard rails, and taught and assisted each other through the process of each movement. The intervention explored the way architecture guides our relationships with space and how we model ways for each other to experience public space outside of those guided relationships so that we can cross boundaries beyond our reach.
