Saas-Fee Drawings

A series of fifteen drawings completed during a month-long study of art and cognitive capitalism with the Saas-Fee Summer Institute of Art at the headquarters of Spike Art Quarterly, a bilingual contemporary art magazine published in Berlin. The ink on paper portraits and drawn vignettes of visiting lecturers include Yuk Hui and Peter Pelbart and were hung on the wall behind the lecturer’s desk to conclude the lecture series. Some drawings were blind contour or gestural studies while others captured moments of twisted electrical cords and meditative reflections.  The series marked an analog response to discussions centered around the discourse of art in the digital era.
