Sven's Eyes

The cutout photo of Sven Marquardt, the notorious bouncer of Berlin’s Berghain nightclub floated from the fishing line in the entryway of the headquarters of Spike Art Quarterly, a bilingual contemporary art magazine published in Berlin, to conclude of a month-long study of art and cognitive capitalism with the Saas-Fee Summer Institute of Art.

 

Gallery visitors were invited to step behind the mask and view people through the cut-out eyes of Marquardt as they entered the gallery.
